Bridgestone Super Bowl Ad Features Suprising Spokesman?

Bridgestone’s finally got in the big game, well, advertising during it anyway. The company’s absence is over with spots during the Super Bowl – Bridgestone is also the official sponsor of the halftime show.

The company is probably marking its inaugural Super Bowl appearance with the Hollywood elite or, maybe, a car-racing icon, right? Not exactly, the company has chosen short short wearin’ fitness guru Richard Simmons to appear in it ads. What? All we can say is, check out the short clip (via YouTube) above.

I don’t even begin to get it. What does Simmons have to do with the squirrel? Bridgestone must have more money than sense.
