WR Fleet: 2008 Subaru WRX STI
When we got word that Subaru’s new Impreza STI would be joining the WINDING ROAD fleet for a one-week stay, we wanted to shout our joy from the rooftops. Our test car arrived in the signature STI blue complete with rally-ready gold alloy wheels, and even though we've only had the car for a few days, everyone who has gone out to drive it thus far has come back wearing a smile.
One of the new features on the cheat sheet so we’d know exactly what settings to use in different conditions.
We’ll give you our full driving impressions after our week in STI paradise is complete. In the meantime, check out our road test of the JDM Impreza WRX STI in this month’s issue of WINDING ROAD.

The cheat sheet is nice, but what to the letters mean?
I, S, S#?
I'm thinking DCCD means Driver Controlled Center Differential. What's VDC?
There comes a point where the jargon becomes counter-productive.

I, S, S# = "Intelligent", "Sport" and "Sport Sharp" modes of the SI-Drive system.
VDC = Vehicle Dynamics Control (i.e., stability control)

Wow. This combination of color and wheels is by far the best I've seen yet.

I look at that car and I think to myself, "practical woman with big biceps." It does not appeal to my prurient interests. It seems like a good option for hauling meat or tables, at a healthy clip no doubt. But if you're the girl with this biggest biceps at prom, you just stir rumors of aberrant behavior.
Actually, that kind of makes sense, since that's a focus group Subaru seems to aim at.
Christmas come early for Mitsubishi.

Maybe you should stay away from subaru, they are not known to produce attractive cars... If you don't care for performance join the Audi TT crowd (of women)

Yeah, the STi sure does have a lot of toggles there in the middle. And the more toggles the cooler it is! My favorites are the toggles in the GT-R and the Volkswagen Golf W650 (or whatever the one with the massive mid engine was called.)

It's ugly but I'd take it...rarely are things that ugly naturally docile.
