With the weekend now upon us and nicer weather just on the horizon (if not already arrived) now seems like a good time to tackle all those automotive projects we’ve been putting off for the winter. Which projects have you been keeping on the back burner? What do you plan to work on this spring? Have your say, in comments.

My 08 Ranger (4 cyl!) I just finished installing the 5″ lift this month complete with BFG 32×11.50 tires mounted on black steel wheels with chrome lug caps. Now I just want to add a few other personalized touches like black bezel headlights, step bars, tint, new stereo, exhaust, and possible new air intake.

I’ve got some brake pads to swap out and a shiny new exhaust that will probably sound much better once I put it on the car than it does sitting in the closet!

Is a new back windscreen all it takes to make a Honda Civic desirable again? I think not!

My Alfa GTV1750 hasn’t run in almost two years.

This WILL BE the year I get her back on the road. Specifically, that means rebuilding the carbs and some wiring fun.

I’m putting off a rotisserie resto on the 3.0 CSL because the motor’s done and it looks great from the rockers up (no one’s going to see the rust underneath). I just want to enjoy it for a while before ripping it apart again. The Maserati Mistral and OSCA Ghia are next in line. Both are starting ground up.

My ‘92 Olds Cutlass convertible is still a snow-covered lump just now - needs fuel tank and lines, as well as brake lines. ‘79 kz1000sp; de-gunk the Mikunis and change a gasket or three. The eighty-something Camaro Convertible - too early to tell what it’ll need.

Get the turbo Legacy that’s been sitting in the garage for two years running again. Start building my own vehicle from scratch.

Need to do the brakes on the 99′ Lexus rx sometime in the next 3-6 months, but all maintenance and projects are all fully up-to-date and complete for that and my 350z. Wouldn’t mind getting a ‘77-87 silverado and restoring it though. For some reason I just love that old boxy style Chevy! And I miss my ‘78 from years past.

I need to pull the intake manifold off my 1926 Buick Master 6 to check for interior air leaks. This vintage engin has a common problem with the interior intake pipe that routs the fuel/air mixture from the updraft carb. to the engin. Small pin holes develope over time causing vacuum leaks and thus rough ideling. I have put the problem off long enough.

I’ve been wanting to start on a Volvo 1800 restoration–even going so far as to buy a base 250 to 500 cc motorbike as my primary vehicle to save. High fuel costs, school, and personal expenses are setting me back.

I need to fab up some mounting brackets for an electric radiator fan for my Ranger.

Saving up so I can rebuild my 1970 MGB GT’s engine. Going to fit hotter cam, 3/4 SU carbs. Hope to have it up and running by July.

Need to finish my Corvair implant. The patient (very patient patient - been well over a year since I worked on it) is a 1978 VW Westfalia. The engine and tranny is in the vehicle, just need to finish the cooling, fuel lines, and electrical. Looks like the brakes need R&R now too.

Want to take the family camping and some short road trips (few hours each way).
