“9 points, $20,000, and a lot of happiness” says World Champion James Hunt after his 1976 British GP victory. 1976 was Hunt’s best year, winning six times in the McLaren M23. This victory would have been a seventh, but Hunt was disqualified after the race because of complaints that his mechanics rebuilt his car after an accident that left action on the track stopped for some time. Ferrari complained and eventually Niki Lauda was given the official win three months later. But Hunt got his cigarette.

Hunt is so smooth. Maybe the best hair of any F1 driver ever.
