Video: Chevy Cobalt SS Turbocharged Runs the ‘Ring

Though we’re used to seeing the most expensive European and Japanese machinery being thrown around the Nürburgring, its not often that we get to see a modestly priced American car get a turn.

Plenty of turns are on offer in this YouTube video, where GM’s director of high-performance vehicle operations, John Heinricy, takes a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Turbo to somewhere near ten-tenths. The Cobalt may not be ready to challenge the Ring record, but it seems to acquit itself nicely, and Heinricy’s play-by-play is quite enlightening.
