Team Ganassi Wins Third Consecutive Rolex 24 at Daytona
The Chip Ganassi Racing team recorded an unbelievable third-straight win at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona yesterday, with drivers Juan Pablo Montoya, Dario Franchitti, Scott Pruet, and Memo Rojas piloting the No. 1 Lexus-Riley to victory.
Ganassi’s crew beat out the No. 99 Pontiac-Riley of Alex Gurney, Jon Fogarty. Jimmy Vasser, and Jimmie Johnson by two laps. The winning car completed a total of 695 laps in the 24-hour race, running in the lead for 252 of them.
Said team owner, Chip Ganassi, of the Daytona win, “My favorite win is always the most recent. It's obviously a huge accomplishment but you always look on for the next one.
