Sent Back to the Minors: Schumi Goes Karting
Michael Schumacher, the seven-time world champion has gone back to his roots, karting.
Schumacher, who started racing karts at the age of six, is in charge of driver development at the newly formed KSM racing. Schumacher adds KSM to his long list of jobs in motorsports. KSM, which stands for Peter Kaiser, Michael Schumacher and Thomas Muchow have hired Carlos Sainz, Jr. to drive for them in 2008. Sainz, Jr. is the son of two-time world rally champion Carlos Sainz. Schumacher hopes to see the young karter in Formula 1 in the future. Racing begins later this month.
