Coca-Cola Would Like to Teach NASCAR How to Recycle (and the World to Sing)

coke_canhl.jpgCoca-Cola is planning to use this year’s Daytona 500 as a platform to educate the NASCAR-loving public about the ease and usefulness of recycling.

The giant soda company will be bringing a 24-foot interactive trailer to the Daytona race, deigned to educate fans about the benefits of reuse, while giving them an easy way to recycle their plastic and aluminum receptacles at the track. The trailer will be equipped with recycling bins, and interactive media featuring such big NASCAR names as Tony Stewart, Mark Martin, and Dale Jarrett.

Coke is sweetening the deal for potentially reluctant recyclers, by offering prizes to anyone who participates in the efforts. While there’s no word yet on what those prizes may be, we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a few recycled bits of the latest NASCAR smash’em up. Make it happen Coke.
