Change of Heart: McLaren Will Hold Car Launch After All
Written By: Seyth Miersma
Just a day after we reported that McLaren would refrain from a public launch of its 2008 Formula One car, the race team has announced that it will indeed put on a show.
Though McLaren had stated that it would just roll out its new car for testing in January, the team has recanted, and set a date of January 7 for an official unveiling of its MP4-23 at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, Germany. That date puts McLaren second after Ferrari in order of launches for the new season.
Speculation had been rampant that the team was laying low, after a scandal-ridden 2007 campaign.
