Sure to be a racing adventure film the whole family can enjoy, the first trailer for the upcoming Speed Racer movie has just been released online. Speed and the gang have certainly matured since the days of the fast talking, choppy moving, classic cartoon, and are looking even slicker than in the corresponding video game. looks like a bad movie already. i never like the cartoon anyways. the tracks and cars in the movie look just like those in a game i used to play on PS "red asphalt", anyone heard of it?? it was a good game.

Read a Road&Track article that said they got to drive the Mach V made for the movie. Said it had a V-12 with 1600 hp!!! Did 0-60 in under 2 seconds and the 1/4 mile in under 6. Did 6 g's on the skidpad too! Insane performance.

I for one will be watching,"Speed Racer",for the following reasons:
One. As a kid,the cartoon show(along with,"Johnny Sokko's Robot","Batman",and,"The Green Hornet")was one of my favorite shows.
Two. The Directors are the same Brothers who did,"Bound",and,"The Matrix",Movies. Therefore,the movie can't be THAT bad("Catwoman",anyone).
Just to see the real-life version of the Mach 5 alone,is worth the price of a ticket and a bag of stale popcorn....

The trailer looked rather blurry with all those cars moving so quickly. I had high hopes for this movie, but it just looks a bit too psychedelic with a bit of a childish plot. But I guess that's what I thought about Transformers before I saw the whole movie and saw how awesome it was.

@ M.Dillon, i like catwoman. it was a good movie, not the best but entertaining.
i didn't know all of that about the car... it looked computerized for some reason.

The Mach 6 looks sweet! This movie is going to kick asphalt just like the Cartoon. John Goodman as Pop Racer and Susan Sarandon as Mom Racer is like the best casting ever! May can't come soon enough.
