GoDaddy.com Banned From Running Danica Patrick Animated Beaver Super Bowl Ad
It’s hard to tackle perfection, and this passage from the Arizona Republic about GoDaddy.com’s rejected Super Bowl ad (screen capture above) really says it all.
The rejected ad, titled "Exposure," features auto racer and Go Daddy spokeswoman Danica Patrick and an animated version of a beaver. The ad, which Parsons showed exclusively to The Arizona Republic Wednesday, shows supermodels with short skirts and furry creatures emerging from vehicles, followed by Patrick declaring in part, "Go Daddy gives me all the exposure I need."
Thanks for giving us all we need, Danica.

she can drive but can she win?
...how about she actually focuses on WINNING something....just one race for crying out loud
Just cause she has a set and isn't too bad to look at they pay her millions to run around mid field or slightly better as she puts other MUCH more qualified drivers out of a seat or opportunity just because of her gender.... not only that, she is pretty much Danny Sullivan wooden in person...
The bottom line is she hasnt WON jack squat.
Great company icon for Go-daddy...she got ahead due to her gender& looks & by "exposing herself" in FHM, Details, or what ever mens magazine it was a few years back...
rock on Shamica...

Granted she *does* need to start producing wins, you can't fault her for looking as good as she does.

There are plenty of rich people who buy seats, back up the field, and have little business being on the track. Danica may not have won a race, but she's earned her seat. She's proven she can hang with the top ten in IRL, placing 12th, 9th, and 7th overall since she's been in the league. The sponsor attention and interest she's raised among women for motorsports is also commendable. As boring as IRL is to watch, it needs all the help it can get.

Clint- Racing should be about getting the best racers on the field. To that extent, I agree with your comment (I hope that was your point). Who cares if Danica convinces a few women to attempt to become real racers? She has proven over three full IRL seasons that she can't win. Social experiments have no place in motorsports.

There are a limited number of races, and most drivers will never take a podium, so it is a bit disingenuous to fault her for not taking one yet. When she starts finishing in the bottom half of the pack, then you can start calling for her to lose her seat.
IRL is all about ad revenue and filling seats. As long as Danica can pull that off, her winning is just gravy.

Enough of all this talk, I think I'm in love. Oh Danica...

So where's the Beaver?
Aaron
Didn't she lead a record number of laps for a rookie at the Indy 500 recently? If she usually finishes midpack, then she's driving better than about half the dudes out there. What's your point?
