This ad for the Holden Ute gives the American audience the transformation of the GM’s Australian Ute. For those not-in-the-know, it’s interesting because this is virtually the same model that will be brought stateside as the Pontiac G8 ST.

The Pontiac-badged Ute will see a debut at this year’s New York Auto Show. Word is a V-8 model will run around $31,000, while the V-6 should be well under the $30,000 mark.

Too bad Pontiac does such a good job ruining the beautiful front clip of Holdens. The last two generations of Commodore had such aggressive, clean, low front ends. The Pontiac versions just don’t carry those same qualities across the ocean.
