More big changes are in store for New York City’s commercial fleet, as Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced yesterday that the city’s Taxi and Limousine Commission is planning to increase economy demands of private -hire “black cars.

Michael Bloomberg came in as a Republican businessman promoting free enteprise. All I have seen from Bloomberg since he came into office has been smoking bans, mandates of restaurant cooking, and now this. I agree with the direction, but not the manner.

Bloomberg wouldn't know how to define liberty, with a dictionary in his hand.

He had the tremendous good fortune to start a business supplying financial information just as an 18-year bull market began. Even better, his competitors were moribund divisions of much larger companies, that ignored him. He's been amply rewarded for that. He's done a horrible job as mayor of NYC.
