Gas Station Clerk Arrested for Selling Fuel at an Alarming Rate
Looking for a way to combat spiraling fuel prices? Some people like to take matters into their own hands.
South Charleston, West Virginia police have arrested a BP gas station clerk and five others accused of scamming to buy and sell cheap gas. Really, really cheap.
Clerk Madeline Jordan has been accused of changing the price at the pumps of Spring Hill BP to a tenth of a cent per gallon, and then selling the gas to her waiting friends and family.

Police claim that the scam has been running for months, with Jordan making the switch during early Sunday morning hours to avoid run ins with other customers.
The station owner, who wouldn’t let his name be released, said that he called the police when he noticed a major decrease in cash flow, but with no shortages in the register. The owner was further clued in when he discovered receipts noting gas being sold for one-tenth of a cent. Excellent detective work, hunting down a clear master criminal.
