A new tool in the fight against speeding tickets is now available to motorists worldwide, thanks to the efforts of a company called Njection.com.

The online resource has combined with Microsoft’s Live Maps to pinpoint the location of over fifty thousand speed traps across the globe. The service allows users to search for local traps using general or specific address information, as well as giving the option to anonymously upload missing information to the site.

By zooming in on a trap in a particular location, Njection offers a wealth of information about that spot. Everything from the type of detection used, to posted speed limits, even the relative level of enforcement, is made available. The maps can also be used to offer traffic information in real time.

Njection is also planning to make its service available to users of GPS enabled mobile devices, though no timetable for that feature has been put forth.
