Video: Mystery Stunt Show Antics

We’re appealing to our readers on this one—we’d love to know where the video footage above is sourced from, as it contains some truly impressive stunt driving. One YouTube commenter says that it is part of a Disneyland Paris show, but we’re not entirely sure.

Further… does anybody know what the cars used in the video are? We’re guessing Opels (the black cars being Corsas and the star red car a Tigra), but the footage is blurry.

Little help?

There was a special on Discovery or TLC that showed how they did this. The cars are special built using motocycle engines, sequential shifters, and a tube frame chassis. The car has all sorts of gagets. The can brake wheels indivudualy and such. Also, this was one of the Disney parks in the US.

It is from the stunt show at MGM studios at Disney.

Here is a link to the Wikipedia article about this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lights,_Motors,_Action!_Extreme_Stunt_Show

Looks the prediction of the black cars being Opel Corsa’s was spot on. I was trying to figure out what the red car was. For a minute I thought it was a Ford Puma, but it turns out it’s a custom made car for the show. There’s more info in the Wikipedia article.

Looks like it didn’t like that exclamation point. That is the right address, so just copy and paste it into your browser.

In was originally in EuroDisney, then ‘ported’ to MGM in Orlando. I’ve seen it at MGM and it’s really awesome. The Opel Corsa I drove totally didn’t handle like that.

Come on guys, with all the success you’ve had with Winding Road, you haven’t celebrated by going to Disneyland?

Also the red one is an Opel Tigra. Well in looks anyway. Underneath it’s custom built, obviously.

Yep, all Opels. All of the official vehicles at the parks in Florida will be General Motors. GM has long sponsored the Test Track (nee World of Motion) pavilion at Epcot Center, and all of the buses in the WDW Transportation System fleet are GMs.
