Video: Citroen Cruises deGaulle-Style, Ticks Off CHiPS
We wish we could find a clip of this vintage CHiPs episode without the foreign overdub, but we'll make do. We'll bet the officer's flabbergasted by the DS' ability to jack itself onto 3 wheels and drive without problems; we'll wager the driver counters the officer by saying it never came with a fourth - it is a Citroen, after all...
Either way, the clip does show how the DS' hydropneumatic suspension helped save Charles de Gaulle's life and perhaps most importantly, irritated fake biker cops on a cheesy '70s TV program.

That's true. What's unbelievable is who would steal a wheel from a DS in the US? what for? LOL

Had a college math prof who told us this (note: this worked before air-conditioned cars): he'd lower his DS coming up to a stop light. Then he's start raising it and turn to the guy next to him and shout "Hey! Your car's sinking!" Guy would look over, and seeing the other car rising (cars can't DO that)...
