How cute is that?
As for myself, I can’t thank you enough for your daily updates from China. You all deserve a lenghty rest, with (piggy) bacon included.
Peace.
We’ve been back at home for almost a week now, but we’re still unpacking all of the detritus we accumulated while attending the Shanghai Auto Show. In the course of rummaging through our (lost) suitcases, we came across this neat little gift from the folks at the Chinese edition of Car and Driver. We purchased a copy of the buff book from a stand out in the courtyard, and they unexpectedly handed us this cute little LED flashlight swine for us to hang onto.
Incredibly, the diminutive piglet torch actually has a small dynamo contained within its curvy plastic goodness. Pop the little lever out of the side, and hand crank your way to illumination. It even has the Car and Driver logo emblazoned on its tummy. Goofy? Perhaps. But also a nifty eco-friendly freebie.
While we aren’t too sure how much use we’ll get out of the foreign ‘zine, we imagine that David E., our Editor-In-Chief and resident pig enthusiast will find a home for the flashlight among his other sculptures and plush toys of the pink, mud-dwelling animal.
