Primo Cappuccino - Lamborghini’s Limited-Edition Coffeemaker

lamborghini-coffee-13.jpg

lamborghini-coffee-2.jpgGood-quality java is the lifeblood of any good magazine, and WINDING ROAD is no exception—some of our staffers are rumored to pump more high-octane coffee through their veins than blood. Which is why we need this hot little number – the Tonino Lamborghini coffee machine.

Limited to just 1,000 examples, the handbuilt machine is a caffeine-lovers symphony in Beluga black, featuring numerous stainless-steel parts, including a front panel that carries the automaker’s iconic bull logo.

Lamborghini apparently even roasts their own coffee beans, so one can see the fun one might have making up Murcielago mudslides, Espada espressos, and so on.

For you? 895 pounds (or around $1750 USD). In other words, most of us can fuggeddaboudit... but perhaps we can splurge on a pound of beans.

Interestingly, despite the huge price tag and fine finish, the only way to make espresso with this machine is by using pre-ground coffee in single-use "pods." These are sort of like the Easy Mac of espresso.

This probably doesn't bother most people as much as it bothers me.

Like Lambos, it looks nice but will break down after six months.

dang it...wish it comes with a v12 mini motor for the machine......

Lamborghini espresso cups are nice as well. Here's a few photos as I take mine out for a first sip:

And they're much cheaper, at 30 pounds for a set of 6:

Wow, this looks really cool. But with a price tag of $1750 I prefer to stick to my good old stovetop espresso maker which is about hundred types cheaper and makes great coffee.
