New York Auto Show: Benz’s C-Class Makes a Splash– Literally

wetbenz061.png

Shortly after Mercedes-Benz held their explosive press conference today, another sort of elemental eruption took place in their exhibit. The roof just above the Benz area started to leak badly and water started to rain down on an unsuspecting C350 that lay below.

Was this the Javits Center's retalliation for the fiery blaze earlier in the afternoon?

Jalopnik's Ray Wert was prepared for the occasion, however.

Well, if a PC running the (then) newest version of Windows can crash in front of the entire world, a little rain is not a problem. Thanks God it wasn't a Cabrio!

I was somewhat able to get an ok look at the car from the photos, and it seems to be very nice. Front end's boxiness makes wonder if certain components of the new C-Class are being borrowed from the Chrysler 300. Love Mercedes, but I have to say that the new C-Class has its work cut out for him, when it comes to the all new Cadillac CTS. You heard me correctly Cadillac is giving Mercedes-Benz serious competition in '08!
