Love can make you crazy – or, in this case violent. A man fighting with his girlfriend clung to the roof of her car as she drove away, according to Yahoo News.

The man rode the car for more than a mile down a busy Route 202 in Haverstraw, New York, as she hit several cars along the way. The man also reportedly punched the woman through the window several times as she attempted to drive away.

She reportedly stopped the car after the air bag deployed and then hit the man with the car afterword, according to police. Both were injured in the incident and the man was arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge while the woman was charged with a felony reckless endangerment.
