An Alpine it certainly ain't, but this partially-finished project looks as if it could offer some French fun. Currently on eBay is a Renault 4CV that's been modified and built for drag racing competition - notably by adding a 2.0-liter Subaru boxer-four and twin turbochargers.

Although it's built for the strip (including a sight-window in the floorboards for the occasional wheelie), we can't help but think it'd be a blast to finish the car as a pro-street racer and wring it on some winding roads of our own. The seller estimates the car's making close to 300 hp; coupled with a relatively light weight and modern tube-based subframes, we're betting it's a bit fun in the twisties - certainly more so than the stock 748-cc four-cylinder...
