Clarkson’s Best and Worst Cars

celebgal_03_clarkson.jpg

Jeremy Clarkson seems omnipresent these days; we can’t seem to avoid his ugly mug. But, his expertise is fascinating and he’s always good for a laugh.

In his column for the UK’s Times, Jeremy went through and picked his 25 worst cars and the ones he’s looking forward to – with hilarity, of course. For instance he says he’d rather kiss, with tongues, Nicholas Witchell (BBC News) than own a Tata Nano. He later goes on to bash Volkswagen and Hyundai, saying, “Hyundai’s are not made to plunge their hand into your pants. Only to plunge their hands into your bank account.

hey, he takes the piss out of the US, but there was an feature on top gear filmed largely in and around ann arbor when he bought his GT. the car ended up not being so great however.

He's a jerk. There is nothing more to say.
You guys would love Hugo Chavez if he knew something abut cars.

Clarkson's taste in cars is about as good as Pamela Anderson's taste in men.

The Stig

He's first and foremost an entertainer. He says things and makes wild opinions to rile everyone up and get everyone talking, does a great job at it and makes a lot of money doing it. Who wouldn't do the same if given the chance?

Dustin

I'd have to agree with Stig on this one. I enjoy his wild comments and metaphors on car testing, even if he hates the car I drive.

Say what you will, but the guy can turn a phrase and make me laugh like no one else on T.V. And I wonder just what Hugo Chavez does know about cars? He doesn't seem as though he'd be that interested, but you never know.

Andrew Hammond

Clarkson's comments on the GT-R are right on target. As usual. Of course he hates the US. Everyone who's not an American hates the US. I think it might have something to do with the stunning arrogance and brutality their foreign policy.

Tony D

I'm gonna hafta agree with Andrew. Just got back from Europe, and all I can say is I'm glad I had a Canadian passport to prove I'm not American. I found myself defending Americans, saying not all of them voted for Bush. Anyway, Clarkson kicks ass.

[...] Jeremy Clarkson, UK Sex Idol, future Prime Minister, and everyone’s favorite (or loathed) Top Gear presenter got his hands on Jaguar’s new XF SV8. In typical Clarkson fashion he sets about griping on Jaguar much like he griped about Subaru. Jaguar’s problem, according to Clarkson, is that it just hasn’t been impressive since they were bought out by British Leyland in the 1970’s. You probably thought he was going to place the blame squarely on Ford’s shoulders, but don’t worry he gets there. He said Ford promptly made Jaguar into another Lincoln and turned their cars into rehashed Ford models. [...]
