David E. Davis, Jr.: American Driver
Cadillac has come a long way since the NBA stars and the hip-hop crowd discovered the Escalade and saved that GM division’s bacon. The turnaround was sudden and unexpected. Escalades were turning up in rap videos, and Cadillac dealers were blessed with a whole new clientele overnight.

Pardon me, but what is the second complaint about the DTS? Other than that I share the Honorable DED's affection for Caddies as I was raised with them, my grandfather buying a new one every year of his life for about 40 years and I worked as lot boy at a Cadilac dealer for a summer in college. So I always cheer anyone who likes them....they have alwys driven better than any other GM product by a light year.

The Caddy has come around. My grandparents bought one in the early 1990s, viewing it as the symbol of their success with the American Dream. Like the 1970s, the Caddy they owned became a symbol of the American Dream’s decay. It gave them nothing but trouble and cost an arm and a leg to repair.
They traded it in for a Plymouth sedan.
My impression of Cadillac changed with the CTS. There was wide agreement that the CTS presented a new direction in design, and had respectable ride quality. Two members of my extended family are CTS owners. From a has-been to a must-have, GM has turned Cadillac around with hi-tech, well-crafted, and true luxury.
