Oh please no. It’s bad enough that the Cayenne even exists.
Because in Japan, anything’s possible. That is a rendering of a crossover-based Nissan GT-R. We already brought you Nissan’s potential four-door GT-R, but now, a crossover, really?
We doubt it. But, speculators are saying Nissan is looking to take the GT-R to an all-wheel crossover to compete with the Porsche Cayenne. However, we feel this is about as likely as a GT-R-based Ute. But, you know, crazier stuff has come out of Japan.

yup, a sedan GT-R, an SUV GT-R, what’s next?? a GT-R wagon???
I hope they don’t. Unlike the Infiniti EX, this time, it just doesn’t work when you try to lift a car and call it a CUV.
I would be fine with a 4 door-sedan Infiniti. But a SUV? Nah…
mo, a GT-R wagon would make sense for the European market (BMW and Mercedes do wagon versions of the M5 and MAG E-class respectively) and the GT-R SUV might sell well in the States like the Porsche

I disagree. The Porsche name has enough cache to carry a $50k SUV. I don’t think Nissan or even Infiniti would fare as well outside of the enthusiast market.
That could be, but the Murano has done pretty well for itself, so they could build and sell a limited number the first year to see how it pans out and badge it as an Infiniti of course
