Nissan Cribs Infiniti: The New Skyline Revealed
When is a Skyline not really a Skyline?
The name remains but the Nissan Skyline coupe is no longer the all-conquering, video game feasting beast that it once was; that title now belongs to the upcoming GT-R. The Skyline nameplate does live on though, in Japan’s version of our Infiniti G37.

The G37 is not however, a perfect twin of the new Skyline. It’s 3.7-liter V-6 has three (yes, three) additional horsepower, a blind spot monitoring system, and a tricky pop-up hood that can react in a crash to protect pedestrians from nastily hard and sharp pieces of the engine. The joggers of Japan utter a collective “thank you.

Do people know that the R34 skyline had a 110BHP version. And the skyline ain't a rebadged infiniti but its the other way.

I prefer the 2008 G37 over the previous G35 in styling, but they are both very close in looks.

I remember the first time I saw one of these "Skylines" on the road, I thought that the owner had gone and done their own badge job on a G35. Only later did I realize that these were actual Nissan Skylines.

I have to wonder why people keep calling Skylines rebadged Infinitis. Infiniti is a division of Nissan (and available only in select markets at that), not the other way around.
