Embargo Breakage Continues: Official Shots of 2009 Honda Fit

fit_01.jpg

The auto show season is gearing up and that can only mean more of these sneak previews will be coming our way in the next few months. Today we’re sharing advance photos of Honda’s Fit that were supposed to be a secret until next month’s Tokyo motor show. Peter Nunn already shared a few details, such as the two extra inches of length, extra inch of width, and the improved 1.3-liter I-4 engine.

Word on the street is the new Jazz will be on sale in Japan by the end of the year, but American B-segment fans will have to wait until next summer to find a new Fit. We don’t know much about any new features, but the interior looks slightly upgraded and a navigation system could be an option with the new model. We'd love to see the enormous sunroof available in the U.S.

Look for more details on the 2009 Honda Fit, and all the other world debuts from the 2007 Tokyo motor show, as they become available at www.news.windingroad.com.

Ducati Minor

that inside line review is very informative

sounds like a great car, the new 1.5 makes 9 more hp and 21(!) more tq. i was hoping for a single cam 1.6 but that 1.5 sounds like it will do fine. i can deffinetly see myself in one of these in '08 or '09

Honda is anticipating selling 75,000 Fits in 2008 (of the current model). This model will easily outsell those numbers. I was looking at buying the current model or a scion. I'll now wait for the 2009 Fit. It's too bad that the big 3 can't make something like this.

Cool...a monospace from the future. Maybe GM will build the Chevy Beat to compete.
