Interesting that the police cars are Chevy Tahoes given that the Scirocco won't be offered in the US
Matt
I find it odd that the police cars are GM SUVs (they look like Tahoes or Suburbans) and we won't be getting the Scirocco here in the US.
Matt
Sorry corco, I didn't see your comment there.

That was a really dumb video. Makes me wish the Scirocco was coming to the US so I could consciously not buy it because I didn't like that video.

Why is that helicopter so happy to see the Scirocco?

I liked the soundtrack. Dialog was also good. Plot sucked though. Car is irrrelevant since I can't buy one.

I have to say, that even as drunk as I am, that commercial absolutely sucked. What the hell! In my current state you could have shown the car outrun a jackass with a load of coffee on its back and I would have thought you were a genius.

Video is so bad it will cut worldwide sales of the Scirocco by 30% :-)

Okay, the scenery appears to be somewhere in the viscinity of Arizona or Nevada. The "police" are driving black GM SUVs. The Scirocco is wearing European plates.
My guess is that these are INS agents in hot pursuit of an illegal immigrant from Europe who didn't event have the common sense to remove his European plates. The INS decided these agents should be more than enough to apprehend such a moron, but the illegal has proven to be a little more than a match for the agents from the bottom of the barrel.

German plates... European plates are reserved to people working for the European Commission, have blue lettering on white background with Eur or Euro circled by stars...

I meant "European" plates from a country within Europe (I haven't been paying attention to which country uses what plates). I wasn't even aware that there were plates specifically designated as "European Plates".
Anyway, the point I was trying to make was the fact that the plates on the Scirocco were not of North American origin.

Some how this video felt really eighties.... Like a cross between 'Sisters of Mercy' and 'The Human League'... In all the good ways.... Looks like they are marketing my generation (the greatest)!!!!
Sad we won't get this car...

What's up w/ the 80's porn soundtrack?

Are you guys that dense or stupid. Lets see they are in an undisclosed southwest U.S. desert locale. Government agents in black suits, black helicopters & black S.U.V's are chasing a white unidentified object. They finally chases it into an airport hanger in the middle of nowhere. Cautiously investigates it, while using advanced communications. Hmmm anyone guess what the Scirocco is supposed to be? Geeeeesshh
Or it can be a sligh take on Vanishing Point.
Do you guys watch anything besides Michael Bay films?
Greg
That Vanishing Point reference is REAALLLY stretching it.
Steve
Am I the only one that thinks the Scirocco looks a bit... awkward?
The profile is just fine... But the front end? It just... doesn't work.
