Le Mans series driver Stephane Ortelli was more than a little bit lucky to walk away from this spectacular crash at Italy’s Monza circuit with nothing more seriously injured than an ankle. More stunning than the crash itself is the near-miss on another passing racer witnessed in this video. Buckle up.

The car that he missed was one of the Audi TDI’s, which have finished 1-2 in the last couple of races if I’m not mistaken.

It’s amazing how light those cars are… reminds me of those speedboats that go flying seemingly every race. Must have been quite a ride!
