Porsche Starts Web Site to Fight London Congestion Charge

porschecf.jpg

We told you about Porsche contesting the new London congestion charge earlier this week. Well, Porsche is serious about its case.

The automaker has started a Web site dedicated to fighting Mayor Ken Livingstone’s proposal to raise the congestion charge from £8 to £25 ($48.75). The site allows users to review all of the facts – or, at least the facts as Porsche sees it – and sign a petition to fight the proposal.

There’s no telling whether Porsche’s virtual effort will stop the congestion charge boost from happening, but it’s interesting to see an automaker fight back.
