The Aston Martin Asia Cup will consist of 12 races in the Asia-Pacific region, including events in China, Japan, Malaysia, and Singapore. The new series will debut in 2008, and will offer a starting lineup of 18 Aston Martin Vantage N24s, an evolution of the company’s V8 Vantage.
The race-ready N24s will weigh in at a lighter than average 2976 pounds, and be powered by Aston’s V-8, producing 410 horsepower. The cars are also loaded with an automated manual Sportshift transmission, as well as the requisite roll cages, fire extinguishing systems, and safety fuel tanks.
The overall winner of the new series will take home a sponsored drive of a Vantage N24 in the FIA GT4 series in 2009, and the undying admiration of Aston fans everywhere.

Aston Martin needs to launch a new designteam. All of their cars look exactly the same.

Considering Aston didn't make a good looking car between the last DB6 in 1970 all the way up to the DB7 in the early 1990s, I don't think having all their cars look the same is necessarily a bad thing at the moment. Since Aston is on its own again as a company, I don't think they're going to tinker with the fact that they finally make good looking, good driving, and above all recognizable and desirable cars again. It might take them another 30 years to get their mojo back if they screw up again.

I really love ASTON MARDTIN! the supper car from UK not only have excellent performance but also have legendary background as special car of 007. I hope the race will be held in China, then we can see more ASTONS China. And it a pity that, I got the same feeling as Clint, so ID improvement is import to UK engineers.
