Sneak Peek at Production Nissan Intima Sedan?

intimahl.jpg

A teaser picture has surfaced that could very well be a look at the production version of Nissan’s Intima sedan, shown as a concept at last year’s Tokyo Motor Show.

Rumor has it that Nissan is planning to unwrap its newest flagship sedan at the fast-approaching Beijing Auto Show, and that it will likely bear the Intima name. If the automaker chooses to stay true to the Intima concept, we can expect a four-door sedan with coupe-like lines, as well as a bevy of techie toys in the cabin. More interesting (and unlikely) is the question of whether or not Nissan will keep any portion of the innovative seating arrangement shown on the concept car.

I assume in the US this cross between Mercedes S-class and Toyota Avalon would be sold as the new Infiniti flagship?

Wes

Reminds me of a Mercedes CLS. There are a lot of those on the road where I live.

mo

this looks like a small CLS. i doubt all these fancy seats and huge doors are gonna be like the concept, i mean you won't be able to open them in tight parking spots. i bet the design will be uglier than the concept. so what will we be looking at in the end, another maxima???? i was never convinced with the 4 doors coupe idea. it just makes no sense.

Brett

Go away ho-mo.

Rex

Let's hope the doors do make it production. As to the seating it does seem possible for production.

mo

@brett, some ppl don't like reality. tell me what you didn't like in my comment instead of insulting me.
here is a lesson. reality can hurt, but you don't fix it by ignoring it. no, you face what you think is wrong and correct it.
i don't get it anyways. do you own nissan. are you the designer of this car. did i offended you somehow.

Mena

Nissan has some great designs. I don't see why this car wouldn't be any different.

Nick

I would feel massively overweight if I had a car with that type of seat.

Ducati Minor

Which ones are great designs, Mena? The Z, FX, and G37 aside, they're bland enough to make Toyotas look as sweet as milk chocolate. Don't even get me started on the GT-R...I don't know who popped that high-powered turd out.

mo

thanks ducati, for a moment i though my taste in cars sucks. it appears it doesn't

mo

"i thought" not though

Bert

@Ducati Minor and Mo - awww sweet, they're tag-teaming :P

Anyway I dont mind the looks of GT-R since it has a coefficient of drag equal to that of a small econobox. I guess you didnt think that the GT-R was designed for speed and not looks...

I also guess that Nissan is so bland that a Toyota Camry looks sexy?

Sigh....it's fun to read comments....
