A possible follow-up to the darkly mysterious SUV-shaped sketch that Land Rover showed at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show, this image purports to be the first official image of Land Rover’s upcoming small SUV. Sent by a reader to CarScoop, the word on the street is that the concept is going to be called the LRX, and that it will make its world debut at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show in January.
The LRX would slot into the popular Land Rover lineup just under the Freelander, with a production version possible as early as 2011. This plan view of the concept reveals a further movement towards a youthful, sporty product, which nicely dovetails with the Frankfurt sketch.

I’m totally digging the panoramic roof and hood vents.
They would be better served by working on the reliability of their existing models. Their reliability has been so bad for so long, they are very nearly irrelevant.
