That's a good question. If the engineers are going fully green with recycled materials making up the cabin accoutrements and all that, I could see a gas-electric powertrain being reasonable. I tend to be of the preference for a low-emission diesel engine for sport-utes. I don't know what is "light" for a Land Rover since the "compact" LR3 weighs 5,300 lbs. If this somehow weighs under two tons, I will be impressed.
