Frankfurt: Peugeot 308 RCZ Concept, Even Better in the Metal
One of the visual stars of the Frankfurt Auto Show was this French beauty from Peugeot, the 308 RCZ Concept.
As we reported last month, the RCZ is a lightweight, innovative sports concept motivated by a small but powerful blown four-cylinder engine. The 2+2 layout coupled with the curvaceous double-bubble glass top gives the coupe the potential for practicality in a sensual package.
Falling into the desirable category of a show car that looks better in the metal than on the (digital) page, every curve and fold of the Peugeot’s aluminum body was a treat. We found the more we looked at the concept, the more excellent details (deceptively simple ten-spoke alloys in particular) revealed themselves.
We hope perusal of our live shots from Frankfurt will lead WINDING ROAD readers to similar joyful discoveries.

This is really a sexy car. Too bad we,in the U.S.,won't be getting it,anytime soon.

Looks so much like an Audi...but it is not as nice as the Audi!
Jeff
Very pretty. It could stand for the nose to be taken in a bit though. It looks a tad bucktoothed.
Ducati Minor
Yes, it is nice.

I love Peugeots...probably partially because we don't get them here, and that makes them somewhat "exotic." But this concept looks AMAZING. When I saw that cover shot, I immediately thought of the ME-412. Drool...

the problem with such a concept is that it often remains a concept without any industrial launch. that was the case with the Peugeot 908
Bart
Very nice. A modern front-engined Karman Ghia coupe. (Look at the side profile from the trailing door edge backwards).

Corvette, Camry, R8, S-class, maybe a bit of G6 or 3050Z.... did I miss anyone?
