‘08 Chicago: Live Shots of the GMC Denali XT Concept
The GMC Denali XT concept makes a lot of sense. It offers lots of practicality, versitility, and probably a healthy dose of fun in a reasonably sized package. It's packing a 4.9-liter V-8 that will keep truckers happy and also a two-mode hybrid system to keep the Sierra Club somewhat happy. The midgate can drop for longer loads, and we're pretty sure the El Camino fan club is ready to replace its fleet.
Could such a vehicle be produced? We're sure this concept isn't a complete pine-in-the-sky idea, but we welcome you to check out our live shots and let us know how you feel in comments.

The phrase is "pie in the sky." And this truck looks great. And compared to the goofy-looking honda Ridgeline, well, it's some tasty pie!

This is a great looking vehicle, with great ideas

The integrated exhaust tips in the side are very trick. I love how this truck looks, and I hope that this is a hint at the direction that truck design is going to take, although I hope they do keep the practicality part of the design in mind.

If this is the direction GMC is going, our paths will never meet.

How does that low roofline, with tiny windows "make a lot of sense"?
Maybe for the midgets that they use in car commercials, but the combination of lack of visibility and claustrophic interior makes no sense to a 6'3", 230lb fellow like me, who drives a lot of pickups.
