Used Car Complaints in the UK Rising
According to Auto Express, used cars are the most complained about purchases in the U.K. The Office of Fair Trading received 55,202 complaints from buyers last year – an increase of nearly 20 percent from 2006.
Of the aforementioned complaints, 41,880 used-car buyers purchased their ride from an independent dealer. Car servicing and repairs also made the government’s top 10 list, 15,253 complaints came in – up 11 percent from 2006.
The U.K. Government claimed almost one-tenth of the complainers received some sort of compensation for their troubles.
