Was this a review? Rex Roy’s piece amounted to an extensive preview of what we already know. As for the Dodge, I like it. I don’t love it, but I like it. The B-pillar and the rear spoiler are cons on the overall styling. The shape, however, seems slimmer than before. That could be due to the photography and angles. The slimmer shape makes the car handsome.
I have total disregard for the auto-stick. I’ll tolerate an auto tranny in a base model; NOT when a Hemi is involved. This is poseur appeasement. The SRT-8 should, especially, be in stick only. It’s enough that the coupe is two tons and forty grand–must us purists contend with young fruits pimping around in their auto-shifting SRTs?
One can understand why purists ignore te Mitsu/Chrysler hybrid Dodges of the 1980s, but the Shelby specials were known for being lightweights in their class. That’s one pro for the cars.
