The road test read long. The conclusion is Subaru’s middle-of-the-road approach has cost the brand its character. I don’t see Subaru changing this direction. Porsche took the same route in the 1980s, Ferrari did in ’70s, and Saab has done so today.

Winding Road seems to be punishing Subaru for doing what Honda and Toyota has been doing for years. What about the full time AWD system and the safety of this vehicle that still make this CUV unique? Do you homework, Winding Road, this review was weak, you can’t be driving STI and EVO’s all the time.
