I never did like that Solstice fastback/coupe. The Sky coupe concept that was floating around out there in cyberspace it even worse. I would LOVE a Sky Redline coupe where the top is designed more like the 90's MR2 or Ferrari F355, but maybe that's out of vogue these days - not recent enough to be trendy, but not old enough to be retro.
And there's not going to be a DI V6 turbo, responding to the above comment. If such a powertrain existed at GM, it'd be going into a Caddylac first and foremost, I'd hope. They're stepping the 2.0 DI turbo up to 300 HP for the 09 model year... If that isn't sufficient, you probably need a bigger car.
yeah, i agree with seeker. pontiac should do a hardtop without any removable panels, and give the removable roof for the convertable solstice. just like porsche do.
I must agree about the hardtop. Hardtop is the way to go. I had t-tops on my MR2 and, while cool at first, I ended up taking them off very rarely (no more than a few times a year). After a while, I coveted a hartop, which were always in short supply.
I liked the Nomad concept for some storage space, but for a proper Solstace Coupe, give me a notchback -- yeah, Fiero syle, baby.
BTW Porsche Targa is a "TARGA" top, not a sunroof, not a T-Top... meaning the whole pannel over both seats comes out ... for those less polished, think Honda delSol.

I want it to have a sunroof like the Porsche Targa, and a DI V6 with a turbo

it's Wilmington DE, not NC.

I would love a hard top witha removable top or even a sunroof. Seems a bit late for this party. This concept is from 2002.

mike, I said I wanted, I never said I expected it

I'll take whatever they'll give me. Maybe the coup will have some storage capacity so you can drive somewhere with a change of clothes.
/shopped for a Solstice
//bought a Mustang GT Convertible
///for the same price they were asking for a Solstice at its début

This would be interesting, but they would have to fix the rest of the car's faults - or should I say deficiencies relative to its competition.

HEY T-TOPS ARE COOL TILL THEY START TO LEAK.
