Jaguar Takes 10,000 Orders for the XF Sedan
Despite having lackluster sales in the past, Jaguar Cars Ltd. has already taken 10,000 orders for the new XF sedan – 3,000 of those orders are in the U.S.
The company has not used advertising and the dealers have no cars to offer customers for a test drive. Instead, the orders have stemmed from customer-only events and a 21-city traveling seminar, training dealers, according to Automotive News.
Ken Gorin, owner of The Collection of Miami, has taken 80 down payments for the XF after holding two customer-only events.

Ok, but who's going to buy it after these first orders? I've never been much of a Jag fan (other than the second gen XJR), but nothing about this car says Jaguar to me. It says "We'll just try looking like everyone else now and hope for the best........"
Someone should tell those people that you can get an Infiniti M45 with standard V8 for about $50k - and I'm sure even less with incentives.

All the other brands have sedans that seem the same because that's what people are looking for. I think Jag's old style was stale, but the XF is modern, fresh in line with what the other sucessful brands offer. It really got my attention turned toward the brand. I'd rather drive an XF than an Infinite. It will have to been seen if the relability has been improved though.
