Chinese automaker Geely recently confirmed three new models that will be shown at Auto China 2008 a.k.a. the Beijing Auto Show. They are the brand new Geely Panda, Geely KingKong (shown above), and Geely China Dragon. Will the company give us an animal show? Maybe, as they’re still considering which cars will fill up the 1,500 square-meter showroom from its lineup.

Based on the Geely Beauty Leopard, the sporty China Dragon debuted at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show and we’ll see if it can get a facelift this time. The long-awaited Geely Kingkong compact will be displayed together with its sedan sibling, which went on sale last year. The Geely Kingkong hatchback is powered by the company’s 1.5-liter self-made engine with a wheelbase of 2502mm, and reaches a top speed of 160 km/h. The hatchback will be priced at RMB 50 – 60k (~ $7,000 – 8,400).

Geely, the Zhejiang-based carmaker, sold 181,524 automobiles in 2007, a year-on-year increase of 10 percent in sales.
