Caption It: What Would Jesus Drive?

People are constantly mentioning how strange French cars are, but this is just silly. Have a shot at telling us what makes this Citroen so miraculously buoyant, and then leave it for the world to read in comments.

Our thanks to reader Nickel for his winning caption to yesterday’s photo.

It's a publicity shot from the introducing advert of the hydropneumatic suspenssion (1955).

The Jesus man would drive a minibus... remember he had a bunch of apostles always following him...

People laughed at how complex the Citroen pneumatic suspension was. Sure, they thought, it's effective but how useful is it really? Then the rains came...

Stephen

Man, that car has balls...

M.Dillon

Jesus!"Orange",you glad this Citroen can go across water?!

Joe Falco

Rollin', Rollin', Rollin' on the river.......

Not having enough room on his Christmas tree for all of his 3 foot ornaments, Bob decided to decorate his car...

What happens when Citroen decides to get into the tire business.

Citroen, in developing it's hydrogen fuel cell technology, devised a new fuel storage method that also reduces the vehicle weight by using four external hydrogen storage ballons. Safety considerations aside, it also improved offroad cabilities.

Jesus was a controversial man in his time (if you believe he existed) and most likely would not have been followed or liked by the majority of the population. IMO, Jesus would be driving a large SUV (he would need room for people and stuff).

Ron Morse

Of course Jesus would drive an SUV. He could turn water into fuel and avoid those wonderful $75 fillups.

Claus

You're all wrong. Jesus would drive a Christler.

Trinks

Why the French don't need levees.

W.W.J.D?---whatwouldJesusDO---whatwouldJesusDRIVE---I don't know. I talk to Him every morning and usually at different times throughout the day as circumstances arise, but I just never really thought about what He might drive. He's always seemed to enjoy evry car I've ever had, whether it was that rusty old Studebaker, maybe the Nash Metropolitan convertible, or even the '69 Corvette roadster. Maybe that's just His way. Come to think of it,
it seems like He's always been happier for the things He could give me, never asking for anything in return. Some don't know that Jesus because they've been taught a different way. Let me ask this, do you think there will be any cars in Heaven? I remember the story of a little boy who's dog was killed. He wrote to Billy Graham asking him if there were dogs in heaven. Dr Graham wrote back and told the little boy that the Bible teaches that we'll all be happy in Heaven and that if he needed his departed puppy in Heaven to make him happy, then yes there would be dogs in heaven. Can you imagine any of us being happy without cars? So I guess that means there will be cars in Heaven! Anyway, just remember this about Jesus. If you've ever seen the picture of Him standing at a door and knocking, notice that there is no knob on the outside of the door. The knob is on the inside and can only be opened by ourselves. He never forces Himself on anyone.
