Despite her best efforts, all the guys kept trying to rear-end her.
While everyone remembers Rosie the Riveter fewer probably recognize this less prominent, yet undoubtedly still important, campaign for driving safely without bumpers. Give us your best caption for this old time ad, in comments.

…As the swarm of oil-hungry cars decend on the hapless tanker to feast on its load of sweet crude, its poor Saudi crew can do nothing but watch.
Despite her best efforts, all the guys kept trying to rear-end her.
The sign was changed from, “Please don’t bump her on my scrap heap.”
My headlights, though, are just where they belong.
The ‘Because I constantly back into stuff’ sign
mysteriously fell off…
In hindsight, the cost of having the sign made probably offset the money from scrapping a perfectly good chrome bumper.
