eBay Auction of the Day: 1956 Chevrolet Handyman 150 Wagon

More of a project than most of the project cars we’ve yet featured in our daily eBay Motors segment, this 1956 Chevrolet wagon could become a really nice piece for someone with the time, and mechanical inclination make it right.

The ’56 Chevy lines are about as classic as they get in the world of American automobila, and despite the fact that this isn’t the legendary Belair model (despite the inaccurate listing, the owner corrects himself at the bottom of the page), the car holds the promise of being drop dead gorgeous if restored. Said restoration is a ways away however, as the car’s interior has been absolutely gutted, and is currently in a shameful state of rusty decline.

Mechanically the car doesn’t seem much better. The seller lists the 256 cubic-inch Chevy motor as “ready to rebuild,

It is probably more of a candidate for either a resto mod or street rod project. It is not a Nomad so it isn't going to demand top dollar in #1 restored condition, and it would probably cost a lot less to build if the builder is not constrained by keeping the car original.
