Though none of us ever really thought it looked like a bad job, the test drivers over at Mercedes-Benz have given us some concrete proof that they’re about a little more than just compiling hard data.

Spy photographer Glenn Paulina has come through again with these shots of the Viper-based M-B SLC mule out for a little cold-weather fun. The brawny coupe seems to be taking the slick conditions in stride, though we’re sure the drivers are doing their best to keep the snow flying.

The Viper-based mule for the Mercedes SLC mule has hit the ice as it
continues its torture-testing regimen. We first spotted this SLC mule

last year in Death Valley, and it was by far the most intriguing hunt
of the hot-weather season. The SLC mule looks like the kind of badass

ride that Darth Vader might roll up in. And although we are eagerly
awaiting a full-fledged confirmation prototype to hit the streets,
somehow we never tire of seeing this beast come roaring by.It's like
seeing an old friend at the ski slopes.
