It seems as if Mercedes-Benz wasn’t the only carmaker to get the memo about cold-weather testing of high-end sports cars today.

Aston Martin has joined in on the power-sliding fun, providing spy shooter Hans Lehmann with some picturesque icy action. In these spy shots, Aston’s sexy four-door Rapide makes quick work of the slick terrain, getting a little frosty, but looking awfully good doing it.

We know the Rapide is far from breaking news, but it’s hard for us not to get more than a little excited any time we see a beautiful car on the cold field of battle. Enjoy.

Aston Martin has taken out its 4 door saloon Rapide for some serious winter testing on the ice. At -20 degrees Celsius the Rapide is turning some quick laps on the ice track and then, as quick as it came out, it gone again. Luckily, we where there at just that moment so we could give you these great shots.

The Rapide is Aston’s answer to the Panamera from Porsche, but when looking at this prototype, we think the Panamera will have a hard time, since the Aston is such a beauty.

From these photographs, it appears there will be no room for the heads of rear seat passengers. Take a peek at the front seat headrests, then mentally move the heads that are supposed to rest against them back and I believe you will conclude that rear passengers will have to be short-waisted persons not more than 5′4″ tall. I hope I’m wrong because that is a drop-dead gorgeous autmobile.
