All new for 2009, Toyota has unveiled its Matrix at the SEMA show in glittering Las Vegas.

After bringing you a set of first images, along with all the ins and outs of the new Toyota, we thought we'd take this opportunity to share some fresh, live images of the Matrix.

Is the little Toyota more fetching on the road than in the studio? Tell us what you think in comments.

i thought we've got over this, PART 1. TO BE CONTINUED AT THE COROLLA LIVE SHOTS.

So far I'm not exactly excited about this. I think I like the old one better.

And when you put the new Corolla pics from the story before this right next to the new Matrix pics, I have to wonder why Toyota didn't just call it a Corolla hatchback.

I don't see what all the fuss is about. It looks just as exciting as the new Impreza STI!

The old Matrix looked better, and appears to have had a larger cargo space. This really is just a Corolla hatch... Toyota sold its soul (again). ...and why would they produce another car that looks so much like their new Xa?

Brandon S.

I don't understand the problem here. People act like the matrix and corolla are designed to be a unique and clique-ish vehicle. If you want that, go with the Scion brand. That's why toyota began that company in the first place. Toyota is the money-maker, and as such, it did not "sell its soul". The new xA is now the xD, by the way. It's also much smaller than the Matrix.

Hey Toyota....

Looks like you are still the ugliest, most embarrassing car on the road!!!! Keep up the bad work.....

Your day will come soon when the average American will wake up to your ugly ways......

Misaki

I think this Matrix looks just as the current one did on its first year. Looks fresh, all-wheel driveable, pretty wheels, cool colored and funky front. Its a great buy for sixteen grand or more. cooler one? xB bro. Looking forward to buy one.
