Don’t Stop Believin’: Dodge’s Journey Headed To Frankfurt
For those who need space but find Chrysler’s minivans a bit too staid, the Pentastar is hoping you’ll find that the joy is in the Journey. More specifically, that’s the 2009 Dodge Journey, the vehicle we’ve been referring to as "JC49" and “Crew

it's almost as ugly as the caravan. almost.

When I saw the photo, I thought it was Chrysler's Caliber.
I was surprised to read a good assessment of the Dodge flex-fuel 2.7 L V-6 on Autoblog Green--a bastion of eco-nuts obsessed with either clean diesels, EVs, or Volkswagens. Average mileage of the 2.7 L Avenger was between 20 and 21 mpg using E85, and the engine ran smoother with the added ethanol component over regular petrol.
But being that E85 usually costs more than unleaded gas (especially outside of the Midwest) and is available in few locations (with numbers ranging from 900 to 1,200 stations across the US), I think going yellow will need A LOT of help.
(Diesel and electric diatribe expected.)
Well, at least Brazil seems to enjoy being a bio-fuel nation.

I don't like the way the car looks, but I love the reference to the song.
Brad
To me the vehicle looks pretty good.

If Journey had ever made a "crossover" hit on the C&W or R&B charts, you'd have had yet, another joke.

the only good thing about this car is the name ...JOURNEY...one of the best REAL ROCK band EVER!!!!!

I'll take mine in beige.

I guess I'll take the counterpoint and say that the car had potential. Why Dodge continues to insist on having a truck grill on everything they produce is beyond me. Leave the "bold moves" to Ford.
With a more appropriate front end, I think this car could have been attractive in a understated way. As usual though, Dodge found a way to ruin it.

I feel bad for Chrysler, they have fallen so far from where their designs were just a few short years ago. It seems like they can only squeeze out a few marginally good ones lately.

At first blush, I'd say the Suzuki XL-7 finally has some competition... but then you look at the photos, read the specs, and realize... no, it doesn't.

Looks like it was born and raised in south Detroit....
Maybe they can hold onto to that feeling until production.
Now that Journey's done, this thing is ugly.

Wow. I actually dig it. A lot. Nice, professional look to it. Clean lines.
I'll take mine with the 3.5L/6-speed set up.
PS--Ducati, your post made me laugh out loud. Good use of "bastion"!
