Sexy…simply sexy. I’d have one over a new M3, hands down, no contest.
A new group of images featuring BMW’s exciting new 135i coupe have made their way into cyberspace for out viewing pleasure.
The 135i seems to be the kind of shape that gets better with each viewing, looking substantial, and well proportioned. While our natural desires still turn us in the direction of the 1-series convertible that BMW brought to the Detroit Auto Show this year, the coupe is a beautiful shape in its own right.
Enjoy our gallery of 135i images found directly below, and then share you feelings on the 1-series in comments.

Still too heavy. It either needs to be cheaper or lighter. Lighter justifies the extra cost. Cheaper justifies the smaller size. Otherwise a Three Series is the better deal.
How so? The 135i is smaller and lighter than a 335i, and thousands of dollars less, while packing the same amount of power. I don’t see the 335i being any better a value in any way.
I agree with Ducati. Even if you’re an options whore, the cost of the car will still be around $40k with a ton of options. A far cry from the near $50k price of a loaded 335i. Not to mention, you get better brakes on the 135i.
Bless you Mena–we finally unite behind a shared view, no matter how small.
Now if you would just send me back that naughty video of me in front of my bathroom mirror, we could catch up where we were before the “incident.”
The I35I is 65-70 pounds lighter than a 335I. Given what you lose in interior space you should get more weight savings or more than 5K differential in list price given the space you have to give up for so little weight savings (less than 3%). That was my point.
Very nice, except, that “Chris Bangle curve” on the side. Always looks like the car was sideswiped in the door. Also don’t like the headlights ending in a point, looks gimmicky. But what do I know, his designs have sold well.
Clearly I am in the minority regarding its looks, at least in this forum. The slab-cut, concave surfaces do not display masculinity, class, and elegance - as pre-Bangle BMWs used to. From the side and many other angles it looks like a pregnant cat with its belly running on the ground. If that weren’t enough of a distraction, the window line is simply too high, from the nose to along the hood to along the trunk lid. There is just too much metal surface on the side for this car to look physically attractive unless your understanding of good looks is symbolized by Rosie O’Donnell. I do like the shapes on the tail (simple with strong masculine angles) but the front - the face of the car - is not pretty. The headlights should not have a startled and wide-eyed look. It’s just not attractive or classy. The once-permanent driver-centric interior is now just a different interior with too many curves along the top of the dash. There so many previous generations to purchase at a steep discount than to buy a car one can’t genuinely be interested to park in front of the house, pull up a chair, and admire.
I love my 135i got the black saphire w/the red interior. FAST. and beauty is in the eye of the beholder I have no complaints and as far as interior room I’m six -two and weigh 260lbs and no problems with the electric seats. Did I say fast? this is my forth bimmer had a 633, 735, and just traded the 328is for this beaut tickled ___less with so far.
